Crossing the glass bridge was a memorable experience, though it wasn't an easy decision to make.
Two couples in my group practically pulled me to step out onto the glass panel. I didn't scream like the man in photo 161, but I was terrified for the first few seconds when I looked straight down.
The glass was remarkably clean and clear, as everyone had to wear shoe covers. What’s more, we were almost the first group to access it.
The weather was magnificent. Everything seemed to have aligned perfectly—or at least, that’s what I told myself at that very moment.
If I had gone a few days earlier, we might not have been so lucky.
On the other hand, had I gone a few days later—after the official opening—the bridge would have been packed. The maximum capacity is 800 people on the bridge.
My group might have had to wait for the next turn. 800 in China is nothing, especially at the grand opening.
