Centered above the altar, the half dome presents sacred figures in a majestic semicircle, framed by marble columns and arches... The rows of dark wooden pews guide the viewer toward the altar....there is also a quiet human presence in the seated visitor, reminding us that this is not merely a museum piece but a living place of worship and contemplation.
