Originally built in 748 as a Benedictine abbey, the church was reconstructed in the 18th century and elevated to a basilica in 2005.
The basilica is known for its Gothic architecture, pink-tinted ceiling vaults, and ornate altars.
The interior is famous for being the filming location of the wedding scene in the movie The Sound of Music.
