The Antiquarium.
Built starting in 1568, it is considered one of the largest and most magnificent Renaissance halls north of the Alps.
The hall was originally constructed to house Duke Albrecht V's collection of classical antiquities and his library.
It was very dark when I went there. The lighting in the Antiquarium was significantly darker prior to modern lighting upgrades.
Renovations, including major improvements to the lighting, were undertaken in the more recent years to better illuminate the 16th-century sculptures and frescoes
