They were commissioned by a good friend of mine for her and her sister. They are made over a Rhea egg and they rattle. Each face is hand sculpted, painted, and adorned with beadwork.
Hello Denise.
I was very moved to have been gifted one of your exquisite creations by my sweet little sis. She knows I love purples and she loves her earth colors. Now I am thrilled to have 'me and Irene' pictured in your gallery! (I never looked so good!) How did you know she was a bit shorter than me???? Love your work and especially your BUGS. Glad to have one of them, too! Keep up the beautiful work.
Lydia
