Memorial erected by Sir Bernard Oppenheimer bart (13 February 1866–13 June 1921). The memorial tablet on the right says; In Memory of the Men of Stoke & Wexham who fell in the Great War 1914-1918. The memorial tablet on the front says; This Memorial was restored by Wexham Parish Council in 1995. The 50th anniversary of the end of the 1939-1945 war. There was a pub opposite, so I'm wondering if the horses were left and watered here? while the owners went into the pub for a pint or two-ish?
