June 11, 12, 13, 2004. There is an Intertribal Pow Wow every weekend throughout the summer in this area. This is one of the 3 or 4 larger ones. It was oringally a private Lokata Pow Wow for many years. This started back in 1960. 1992 was the first public Intertribal Pow Wow. Both I and Mel use up all the the cards and batteries we had with us. I took most of the photos on continuous autofocus from my waist without a viewfinder as I do for candids. Also where I did not have permission, I did not take full frontal face shots as many Native Americans do not like this.

The sun was bright and the shadows dark with many colors. I missed the dynamic latitude of print film.
