Medicine Bag.jpg

This is not the old drawstring medicine bag with herbal medicine in it. This is a well worn mdecine bag my friend Paul Baker made me. It holds my nitro. He made it for me after I suffered a heart attach which did not have any normal symptoms. And, then when I went to ER, I had a sudden cardiac death. After they brought me back and I got out, Paul made this so I could easily open it and get my nitro if I had any facial pains again. Paul had an heart attack one Monday morning, but when the pains quit, he blew if off and went to get some parts for the car he was getting from me. Sunday he had told me he would be there Monday. It was not until the next Saturday that I got news from out of state where his body had been shipped that he had died. That was April 14, 2003. Every mornning I put on my medicine bag and think of the friend who made it for me.

My nitro is in a container attached to my money purse. I hate taking it, sometimes it's worse than the chest pains. Haven't had to take any in a while, thank goodness.

I've been lucky, five angioplasties and three stents. No more of that, hopefully.

nice photo and very intense story. It is very neat that you have this bag he made to keep with you all the time.
