5/30: Gosling with Plantago Lanceolata ( :))

(So they're not Mexican Hats - it's Plantago lanceolata. Thanks, Scott! :))

The goslings are about a month old today. They've really grown quickly and are really looking like little geese now instead of balls of fluff. However, they're still fluffy and cute - their adult feathers haven't started to come in yet and their wings are still really tiny so they look like miniature T-Rexes when they "flap".

It's a GORGEOUS day in Boston and I'm so glad it's a holiday!! Going out to get some sun now...

Happy Memorial Day, everyone :)

Sorry to be so slow to respond D. It is a weedy introduced perennial found throughout the US called Plantago lanceolata (English Plantain).

From the title, I thought maybe he was wearing a little sombrero.
