I just realised an issue with resizing. What do you all do
with resizing your pictures for best sharpness when viewing on the
web site. This image looks perfect when you choose to click 'Original' view.

So my questions really are

1.Do you normally leave your viewing set to 'original' .I dont do this since
many photographers upload pretty huge files.
2.Is there an optimum dimension/file size that should fit all ?As in should
look fine when viewed in any of the viewing sizes.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Great shot! Nice composition. I resize mine like Gary (600 pixels high), so people don't have to scroll. I agree some pictures look much better at a larger size though.

Excellent work.
I upload mine at 1024 x 768 usually.

Gary,antidote3 - Thanks for sharing your practice.I can clearly see the advantages of resizing it to 600/640 pixels. However I am many a times tempted to have larger files.A larger picture tends to pull you into it better and makes you feel part of it isnt it?Its the same effect as having the picture displayed as 'actual pixels' in photoshop and scrolling up and down.I guess the tradeoff is having to scroll up and down on the web page.

lovely bit of architecture Deepak... I leave mine at 'original' and change when I encounter a big file which is not that often... I upload 99% of my files at about 600 pixels high and don't worry about width and find that my images are best viewed at original size. :)
