Paris - March '03
The Arc de Triomphe. We walked straight out of the subway and it was the first thing we saw. Very, very happy peoples. |
A splendid view from the Arc. There were 12 streets which led to the Arc which is in the middle of a massive roundabout. |
Looking down towards the Champs Elysees, which we didn't get to see because of lack of time. |
Clint and the Eiffel Tower. It didn't hit us that we were there until much later on... |
'Hmmm, does it really look like I am holding it?? Hurry up and take the pic, it's embarassing and everyone's looking.......' |
Awwwww, some romance in the capital of luuuuurve..... |
A view of the tower from the Arc de Triomphe. It's 113 years old....pretty amazing. |
Julie and her dream car, a Fiat Bambino 500. (Although not as battered and in pastel mint green if you win the lottery!) |
The tower at night, all lit up as we about to jump on it. We were hoping to get on it before sundown. |
We didn't get to see the tower close-up in the day light, but we think it will probably look better in the evening anyway. |
You can never have too many pics of the Eiffel Tower. We will probably see it only once. |
Yep, we got trigger happy with the camera. How about some trivia?? It took 2 years, 2 months and 5 days to build. |
We're at the top of the tower, rather dark photos of Paris by night and nothing but lights, but we were just over 300m up! |
A blurry pic of the Arc de Triomphe, a tiny 70 metres tall. |
Bonjour...... Yours truly, not too afraid of being so high up but freezing as it was sooo windy. |
A photo of the tower in full. Taken from some building we don't know the name of.... dohhh... |
