 One of the many buildings in the town square. Lots of Belgian Chocolate shops around, but regrettably no photos. |
 As we've said before.. there always seems to be constuction wherever we go.. this bright yellow crane really adds to the square. |
 It was an incredibly hot day for us..... around 28degrees. We left home at 4am to go to Stansted Airport in Essex......... |
 and arrived in Brussels at around 11am..... the flight was only 40 minutes long, so thats alot of waiting around. |
 We asked a local shopkeeper to reccommend a good traditional Belgian restaurant as we didn't want to go a common touristy one... |
 and she told us to go to a basement restaurant in the town square.... best thing we ever did.... the meal was fantastic. |
 The Manneken Pis. Basically a statue of a little boy having a pee. It was tucked away in a small street in Brussels. |
 We didn't find out exactly why the statue exists but it's something to do with a witch....... |

 A small smurf collection in the Comic Strip Museum. We walked miles to get there and was a little disappointed as it was all... |
 ...... in French and German. They had english text but we would have had to carry around a massive file of paper. |
 We saw a Chocolate Museum, but nothing worth taking pictures of. We had more fun in a playing card shop, Clint went berserk!! |
 Mini-Europe and the Atomium. |
 Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Unlike Legoland, these models were made with little bricks and plaster. |

 Here's a better idea of the town square in Brussels, in Mini-Europe. It was lovely, supposedly the best in Europe. |

 We took the elevator up to the top 'ball' where there were windows and views of Brussels, then went down to the middle 'ball... |
 where there was photos, video and text on what the Atomium is about. We took either escalators or stairs to each other 'ball'. |
