Peru

Peru -the land of the Inca ruins, the elevated Andes, cloud forests, rain forests, arid plains and an amazing amount of birds.(1800 plus species there).
Peru was more then a holiday. It was an adventure that we will always remember. Between climbing over landslides to continue our journey in the Manu reserve,
then riding on motorbikes in the rain, to get to our lodge or leaving for a 7 hour boat ride to the Manu lodge, in the pouring rain and taking another canoe
ride to get out of the rainforest because the small plane was broken, this part of our trip to the Amazon,was a real challenge. We even encountered,
small rockslides on the train tracks coming out of Machu Picchu and altitude problems at Lake Titicaca. Our adventure seemed to have it all.
As they say- trains, planes, automobiles, and add in motorbikes and canoes. Best of all were the great bird guides, that made it possible to see and photograph most of the 267 species we'd seen.
If you ever want an adventure instead of a holiday, Peru is the place to go. Will be putting lots of pictures in the gallery in the next while so please check back.
