Kenya/ Tanzania

Went on a two week safari. The wildlife was unbelievable. If you ever were thinking of going I would recommend it in a heart beat.
Here are a mixture of birds and animals. Hope you enjoy them as much as i did.

We left for an African Safari,
With layovers - a thirty-two hour flight.
Saw so many amazing animals.
But birding! an even bigger delight.

We spotted the many Sunbirds, Starlings
And Lilac Rollers - so vivid and bright.
We marvelled at the graceful Crowned Heron.
Watched multitudes of Flamingoes in flight.

While there were many birds so beautiful,
Some of the others not a pretty sight.
The Hornbills, the Vultures and some Ibis,
Could startle you and give someone a fright.

Stalking the plains, were the Secretary Bird,
Goliath Heron, Ostrich - birds of great height.
While hidden in the trees, were Bee Eaters,
Lovebirds, many birds , so teeny and slight.

It’s difficult to choose a favorite.
Kingfisher? Weaver? Colorful? Black? White?
All we know, is we wish we were an Eagle,
To soar over Africa, one more night.
