You would think there are lots of caribou in Churchill, but this was the first one our tundra buggy driver had seen this season.

So nice that you got close enough to this little guy for a great shot. We only saw him at a distance laying in the willows. On our buggy we were told that this young caribou had gotten separated from the herd and was left behind and that its chance of survival was very slim once bitter winter sets in. :o(
