September 13, 2013 The mountain towns of Colorado had been destroyed by unprecedented amounts of raging water...we truly did not expect the Plains to become so devastated from that same water. Our agricultural community was hard hit, and no one was prepared. The ranch where we keep our horses was pretty much totaled, but no person or critter was injured. Our horses and our dear friends got out!! However, there were folks who could not get their livestock out in time, so the rescues went on for several days...now, we are in the 'cleanup' mode. It's been a life changing event for many people and animals. We are so grateful to those who have stepped up to assist in ways you could not imagine!
