Finally A New Flat Screen Monitor

Got a phone call one day from a friend wanting to know if I wanted to work 3 days a week (for a 6-8 week stint) to do some data cleansing, they were going from an AS400 system to Oracle. 3 years later I’m still there. The monitor that I was using from the get-go was from the 90’s (took up most of my desk space) but in the past few weeks I knew it was fading, lines in the screen, desktop image shrinking little by little but was afraid to say anything because I saw the “back-ups” in the IT inventory. Last week, while I was on vacation, my boss used my PC to run scripts and apparently was not a happy camper! This afternoon, our IT dept came in while I was working, shut off the monitor, and installed my new “FLAT SCREEN MONITOR” in less than 5 minutes. My co-workers were laughing about the space that I now have on my desk saying that there is enough room I could do a dance – I will save that for another day. Thank you Shawn and Jeff!

I am happy you got a new flat screen. It takes less room on a desk. Me, here, I have a 19" standard screen, I have it since 8 years. Sometimes, the color change a bit, not to more than 1 sec. My cousin owns a business and just sold me a brand new one, 17" for nothing. when my 19" will be "dead", I will use the other one. Your new flat screen is very nice.
Best regards
Guy

Just think about the lowly co-worker who just 'moved up'
to your old one!

Congratulations, Deborah! It makes a huge difference, doesn't it?
Even Gollum looks happy to be flat and compact : )
