Pre Operative

I had to have surgery in March.
I decided to help the doctor
out and make sure he remembered
which knee had the problem!

I see this more and more!!! LOL My mom had knee replacements on both legs at the same time! What a woman. I put smiley faces on her big toes.

You may clasify this as silliness, but I think it might be a good idea to prevent surgical errors.
Great sense of humor my friend.

The best thing you could do, we had to argue with the Dr about Daves leg, keep that on ready, great idea !

Better safe than sorry! I broke my ankle and they put in screws, a pin and a plate. A few months later the needed to take out a screw that went all the way through my ankle so I could get some PT. I am on the operating and the nurse starts shaving the wrong leg. I pointed this out to her, she asked me if I was sure about that, I told her I was pretty sure. The Anesthesiologist just cracked up laughing, it made his day!
