Dress Rehearsal
Our church is starting the month of December with "The Singing Christmas Tree" and tonight was our dress rehearsal. It's lots of work, beginning in September learning the music, but it always adds so much to the Christmas season.

Light Bright
Bill and I helped set up and decorate the Chrismon tree at church tonight. It's 25 feet tall and requires scaffolding. Makes the 9 footer at home seem like a piece of cake! We are really busy. No joke, I think we have some kind of commitment every night for the next 3 weeks or so. Kind of takes all the fah-lah-lah-lah-lah out of the season for me. Oh well, pass the eggnog.

Along the Path
After such a hot dry summer, I really didn't expect a colorful fall this year. But I think this has been one of the prettiest I have seen in ages. It's the middle of November, and we still have some trees with brilliant color. However, the season is definitely dying down, and this weekend may be the end of it. There was even a little sleet while I was out taking this pic, freezing my rear end off. Time to move on.

This is the GPS view of the road we took to the Chimney Rock State Park in North Carolina today. Lots of fun, and absolutely beautiful views, which I will post soon.
