A Different Perspective
Ever since I was little, I like to lie on the floor and look up at the ceiling and imagine the house is flipped upside down. I am stuck on the floor, which is now the ceiling. I imagine what it would be like to walk around on the ceiling/floor, avoiding the light fixtures which are sticking up, etc. Strange, I know.

Life is Good
Yes, indeed, life is good.

Night Storm Coming
One of these days I'll get the lightning shot, but I'm not even going to pretend I have the skills, patience, or time for that right now.

The Breakfast Club
Nothing better than Daddy's waffles and some Mickey's Playhouse in the morning!

Little Lost Lamb
I saw this little guy hanging in the lost and found area in our sanctuary. He is so cute, but looks a little sad. I'm sure there is a whole sermon in there about the lost lamb.

Mad Scientist?
Actually, he's playing in the band for our Vacation Bible School. The theme this year is Power Lab, and everyone is a scientist. I am toaly amazed at how high-tech Bible School has become over the years. It is multi-media, scripted, organized, and high energy. We have about 100 kids, and there are probably 70 adults involved in one way or another. It is serious fun!

Boots-A-Bowling
This was just one of a series of elaborate games played this afternoon, involving shoes, bowling pins, delicately placed pieces of string, and other toys. Actually, the boys played nicely together (translate: not hitting or pushing each other) for longer than I have ever seen before. Brudderly Love.

Yesterday's Dreams
I walked by this VW today, and knew that someone had purchased it hoping to restore it to original condition. Beetles just make you happy when you see them. This one has a long way to go--the back seat was down to the metal frame and thrown into the back, it had at least one flat tire, and I'm not sure, but the rust may be what's holding it together. It will be interesting to see if it progresses, or just falls apart on the street.

Show Me the Way
Wouldn't it be great if you really could see arrows pointing you in the right direction for your life?

Future Firefighters
This was good for about 10 whole minutes of play time. Too bad I wouldn't let them turn on the water.

Little Baby
OK, I'm going to 'fess up. I didn't take this one, my hubby did, and it was taken a week ago. But I had to post it anyway. Her mama calls her "little baby," and says she will probably think that is her name!

My Dad
We took my parents out to breakfast for Father's Day this morning, and I had to snap this pic quickly. My dad has always been there to help out in a hundred different ways, and I don't know what we would do without him.
Happy Father's Day, Dad--I love you!

Sunset in the Mountains
On the way home from the beach, we enjoyed at least an hour of beautiful sunset. A nice way to pass the time, and completely free!

Treasure Hunt
I love looking at the different colors, shapes and textures on the beach.

Tell Us How You Really Feel!
Look closely at the sign along the roof line. I guess there is something to be said for honesty!

Beach Baby
Eliza's first time at the beach. She was less than thrilled. But I'm sure she will grow to enjoy it.

Life's A Beach
Here on the Outer Banks with the kids and grandkids for a week. Looking forward to lots of fun, sun, and relaxation.

I Don't Feel So Good
Last night we were swimming, and we heard several frogs singing around the pool. This guy must have jumped in before we put the cover back on, because I found him in the skimmer this afternoon. There is a constant swirling current in there, so I know he was tired of spinning around, and he is a funny orange color, maybe from the salt water in the pool. But he hopped away, and I hope he will recover.

Say Cheese!
This is Jake, the budding photographer. He is using his "crama" which he got in an Easter egg. This picture cracks me up, especially if you look at his feet. He is wearing two left shoes!

Refreshing Drink of Rain
Today we got some much needed rain. Actually we got a lot of rain; more than we needed. I ran outside between thunderstorms to get some shots.

Blast from the Past
This is my new tie dye shirt for our church's Vacation Bible School at the end of June. It was a lot of fun playing around with the rubber bands and seeing what turned out. I'm glad I have some grandchildren for an excuse to do more of it!
