Ring Around the Rosie
Just love this sculpture. People can't leave it alone. The opening just begs you to fill the circle.

Goose Blind
This little place has been our home away from home this week. We come to relax after a full day of singing and listening to music. So what did we do tonight to unwind? We sang Karaoke! Our group from West Virginia started out with "Country Roads, Take Me Home," and as the evening progressed, we declined to the level of Bon Jovi "You Give Love a Bad Name." I haven't had that much fun in a long time, and the best part about it is that no one here knows us, so it didn't matter if we made fools of ourselves. I've never done Karaoke, so that's one item checked off my Bucket List!

Noah's Ark and the Storm
Today we drove about 2 hours to take the kids in the youth group to Noah's Ark Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. We have had beautiful weather all week, until today. The closer we got, the worse it looked. I mean truly nasty looking skies. We got to spend about an hour and a half in the park before the lightning started and the rides shut down. Then the heavens opened and it rained like crazy. Evidently it is the fourth year in a row that it has rained on the waterpark day. But I think everyone had a good time anyway. Better luck next year.

Meditation
Another lovely spot at Green Lake which is very Zen-like and relaxing.

Garden
Wisconsin must have the perfect summer climate for growing perennials. There are so many beautiful gardens. Green Lake Conference Center has a huge garden and beautifully landscaped grounds. I know it takes a lot of work to maintain, but the results are worth it.

Windmill
Another day of driving through cities (Chicago--scary, Milwaukee--construction) and countryside. I was told that the arms of this windmill are 100 feet long. These things look like something out of Star Wars. Very cool.

Stormy Horizons
We're on the way back to Green Lake Wisconsin for our annual music conference. I'm still amazed at how far you can see on flat land.

Chaste Tree
This tree is often mistaken for a butterfly bush, but it is called a Chaste tree. Its leaves look a lot like marijuana.
