Doe, a Deer
My daughter Sarah likes the fact that the deer has snow on her head in this pic! They come so close to the house that I can stand inside and take photos.

Hey Ya'll, Watch This!
My two sons-in-law, Hilton and Adam, offered to clear our driveway from the 9 inches of snow we got over the last few days. The snow was so heavy that Adam had to ride on the front of the 4 wheeler to provide enough weight to press the blade down into the snow. They spent a good couple of hours outside doing all that manly stuff! Thanks to both of them, our driveway is much safer now.

Icy Fence
Our electricity went out at 2 am. Thankfully we have a gas generator so we are fine. There was a big pine tree down across our road and power lines, so Bill couldn't get to work, until a neighbor chopped a passage through for the cars. It is pouring rain which is supposed to turn into sleet and then snow, so the roads will be frozen ice rinks. I am most worried about the amount of ice on the trees and hoping none of them falls on our house. Don't you just love winter?!

Bummer for the Hummers
This ice storm stuff is really getting crazy!

Upper Crust
It is very cool to walk on a crust of ice on top of the snow. Not so much fun to drive on it, though.

Afternoon Walk
We got a lot of snow here with some freezing rain on top of it. Bill walked out to the mailbox and was enjoying the crunch of snow under his feet on the way back.

Knobs
I've been thinking about this shot for months. Finally got a chance to try it.
