Small Steps
Our group walked through a poor neighborhood, handing out bags of beans and rice to feed an average family for a week. It seems like a small gesture, but hopefully it will make a difference.

Dinner at Hogar des Mis Nogales in Managua, Nicaragua. This was a fantastic dinner. The chef trained at the Cordon Bleu and worked previously at the Waldorf Astoria.

Appetizers
Thursday nights are "Bob and Anne" nights. We take turns with our friends--Bob and Anne--having dinner at each other's house. It started as a Survivor watching party a few years ago. But we do it all year long. I really stress out over choosing the menu and trying to make sure I don't screw up any dishes. Tonight I took the easy way out and did Stouffer's lasagna, a no brainer, except for the fact that it took about 45 minutes longer to cook than it states on the box. But it was all good, since we had such a yummy appetizer platter, if I do say so myself.

Snowed In
Our driveway is 600 feet long, and has a gentle curve and hill, which is normally not a problem. Unless there has been snow and ice covering it for the last 2 weeks. Which can be a real pain, unless you want an excuse for not making it to the Y for your workout!

Dusk in the Winter Garden
I'm drawn to this little statue a lot with my camera. Every time I walk through my bedroom, I can see her out the window. Her mood is suited to this weather.
