How Does This Thing Work??
Christmas morning here was different this year. Bill and I woke up alone for the first time since our kids were born. Since both our kids live in town and have their own children, we decided it was time for them to start their own Christmas morning traditions. So they came over later, along with my parents, for breakfast. Still lots of fun. I've been really under the weather for a few days so the pictures were few. But the sun coming in the window spotlighted the boys in a quiet moment, and that's rare around here.
Merry Christmas to all my pBase friends.

The Photographer
Since I'm usually behind the camera, I'm rarely in a picture. I also pretty much hate every picture of myself, so there aren't too many pics of me lately. I was too lazy to set up the tripod and self-timer, so this will have to do for a self-portrait.

Party Like It's 2009
So we had a Karaoke party last night with our friends from church. Lots of yummy food, delicious drinks, bad singing, and good times. It also happened to be our 31st wedding anniversary, so it was fun to celebrate with friends.
I am very happy and relieved to say that this entry completes my PaD for 2008. Some days it was a real challenge to find the time to take pictures (and I will admit I cheated a little). There are several that I am not happy with because of either the lack of creativity or good technique, but there are also many shots I think are pretty darn good.
I definitely learned a lot about photography in the last year. And I know that I have much more to learn. My pBase friends have become very important to me, and I would love to meet some of you in real life.
I'm going to relax my "rules" about PaD in 2009, to relieve a little self-imposed stress. I know the best way to become a better photographer is to take more pictures, so hopefully I will keep it up.
Happy New Year to all of you on pBase! I look forward to another year of enjoying your wonderful photos.
