While driving back to Phoenix from New York, I decided to detour to Georgia to see an old friend. He allowed me to unload all my worldly possessions into his garage (thanks so much to Jack, my brother from another mother!) so that I could once again have my hotel on wheels and journey into Florida, a place I'd hoped to explore while living in the East and had never been to before. What I discovered in my two plus weeks in Florida is that, it's a pretty big state, and one should have a better idea of what one hopes to accomplish (i.e. specific destinations in mind!) before one arrives! The Florida Keys, it turns out, is NOT a very specific destination, lol! But I managed to discover some beautiful places, and tried to focus on Florida's animal and sea life when I didn't know where else to go, which was quite often!
