It has been over 50 years since this event and I remember it well. My husband and I lived on Acklen Ave. It is difficult to make people understand how bad this really was if they did not live at that time. I remember scraping ice off my kitchen wall!!

I just google mapped this address and sadly, there's an apartment complex at the location now. However, there's a law office a few houses down that looks an awful lot like this house that might be from that time! Thought that was cool and wanted to share. Thanks for sharing all these old pictures of Nashville!

Chip, thank you so much for sharing these nostalgic pictures with those of us who lived in Nashville during those times, and remember them well. I, too, remember the big snow in Nashville. I was 12 years old at the time. It was the most snow I have ever seen there. What wonderful memories!
