This was our church from '55 to '65 when we moved out of town. Minnie Pearl was a member, but only showed up occasionally, I suppose because she traveled on weekends for performances. I remember she was always really dressed up, probably to prove she was NOT her character, but as my Mom (Ruth Beasley) said, She spoke to everybody.
