Artist working on a rather modern version of Britannia (or was the Bodecia?) at First Saturday Frederick.

First Saturday Frederick is an "arts open house" in which the large number of arts shops and galleries in the historic downtown section of Frederick, MD, stay open late and welcome visitors with new openings, ongoing showings, and a little wine or champaigne. A nice time is had by all.

Nice catch here. There's something about the almost-life-sized painted figure and the painter that's really interesting. Echoes of skin tone and arm angle or something.
