One of four engines on early Pan Am Clipper Galaxy. Then entire plane shone like a new silver dollar or a teenager's '57 Chevy.

Very nice shot. I really like your idea of exdtracting the image and replacing the background with something neutral. I shot at the new A&S Museum in Dulles on opening day, and while there are terrific things to photograph, theres's inevitably lots of clutter in the background. This is a great solution.
