8/27/04 - SP Friday

Not really wild about this one. Too much contrast, I think, and too many hot spots. I've tried a number of techniques to even things out, but they usually have resulted in either another problem or in an artificial/airbrushed look. I'm starting to realize that maybe I just have a face (or at least skin texture) made for radio. I also need to learn to take the toothpick and chewing gum out of my mouth before submitting to the camera.

I like this one a lot...I don't have the courage for self head shots...

Hey, I saw someone that looks like you, just yesterday. You got a twin?

Let's face it -- SP's are HARD. (This one is excellent, btw.) It's hard to keep everything in mind -- the camera settings, where exactly you're going to sit, did you remember to brush back that wild hair, etc. I like how yours turn out.

There is a lot of character in your face - well shown by the nice tonal range. Very serious .. and the crop is excellent.
Oh.. and i like the addition of the toothpick .. (I cannot see your gum)..lol

Such a serious expression for someone with such humor.

And I agree 100 percent with Carmen.

We none of us see ourselves as we look to others, I think. This is a beautiful study of the human face. I like it a lot.
