8/4/04 - Stop, Thief!

This little beggar was making trips to the "squirrel-proof" bird feeder to replenish his store of bird seed. Some days I'm not as fond of "all God's creatures, large and small" as other times. I need a magpie or a AK-47 squirtgun. Out of focus -- also probably means I couldn't hit the broad side of this squirrel even if I tried. Sigh...

PS - Crop, USM, Frame.

Note: I don't think I'm supposed to be doing it this way on a regular basis. Rather than pick one shot for my PAD and posting it, I've been regularly posting two or three (just to show them off?) and then some time later moving all but one to the Also Ran gallery. Thanks, Susanne. You should see all the blurry shots! I'm starting to believe that 90% of good photography is luck (or good Photoshop skills). :)

Beautiful capture. When I try to capture squirrls I only get something that is out of focus, those little suckers are fast. This one is very precise and crisp. I love it.
