The unusually early and warm spring weather have advanced the normal blossoming time for the local Adams County (PA) orchards. The peach blossoms seem to be ahead of the pack, being almost in full bloom. We just hope the upcoming cool (i.e., normal) temps don't result in any frost or other damage to the trees. I'm not sure what we'd do without the delicious local peaches -- or apples, or cherries, etc. Can't wait for the farmer's markets to open. Oh, the trials and tribulations of living in the middle of a summer food basket. Additional orchard photos at http://www.pbase.com/dds/gallery/places_gettysburg
