This is a stink bug (Halyomorpha halys, according to Penn State entomology department (http://ento.psu.edu/extension/factsheets/brown-marmorated-stink-bug)). It was evidently introduced to this country from Asia only 15-20 years ago. They're now a genuine pest to the fruit crops grown around Gettysburg and beyond. We thought they'd be gone with the cold weather, but they just seem to have come inside to stay warm -- ugh! Something to look forward to.
I need to shoot this guy with more light and a tripod; it's amazing how little DOF you get at f/9 when you're only a few inches from your subject.
