This gallery contains unedited shots from the 2007 DARCARS Young Run (formerly the MCRRC Halloween Young Run), held Sunday, Oct. 22 on W. Gude Drive, Rockville. The event has been conducted annually for nineteen years by the Montgomery County Road Runners Club in cooperation with the City of Rockville Recreation and Parks Department.
This annual fall event is exclusively for kids 12 and under. There are races of 1 mile, 1/2 mile, and 1/4 mile. Each finisher in the 1 mile gets a medal, and each finisher in the 1/2 and 1/4 mile gets a ribbon. Everyone gets water, fruit, cookies, and high-fives.
