We got Jack about five months after we moved to Stone Meadow. He was a year old, having been recently returned to his breeder because the original owners decided he was too much to handle. It appears that he was kept in a crate over eight hours a day (both people worked) and was given minimal exercise and virtually no socialization. In other words, we had a one year old, fifty pound dog with the outlook, excitability, and craziness of a puppy. He has taken a little getting used to -- and a lot of effort to train him to be a companion rather than a train wreck. It's been worth it. Jack is now a (relatively) controlled, fun dog that we're delighted to have in our lives. OK, maybe he's still wacky and nutsy, but we adore him.
I hope, over time, that this gallery will reflect the many sides of our crazy Airedale.
