Without the Sky Commander aiming computer made by sky engineering, aquiring my pictures would be quite a bit more difficult.
The Sky Commander connects to the optical encoders which gives position in Right Assention to the closest minute and to the closest 1/10 degree once initialized on a guide star. With proper polar alignment of the mount very little correction is needed to get right on target. Final centering is done with the hand controller seen next to the Sky Commander.
