Double Cluster

Sedro-Woolley, Wa.

Celestrial North is up and celestrial east is left.
NGC884 is the star cluster at the left bottom of the photo. Located some 7600 light years from Earth.
NGC869 is also 7600 light years from earth. Both are in the constillation Perseus close to the border of Cassiopia.
These two clusters are relatively close to each other, and are said to be headed our way at a rate a little over 20km/sec.
Both clusters are visible from a fairly dark sky, and with binoculars they are a striking view in the northern sky.
