The West Glacier Trail is a six mile round trip hike onto the glacier. I made it all but the last
half mile. I let the "kids" go on ahead and I walked back at my own pace
singing at the top of my lungs to alert any bears to my presence. There were
many folks on the trail so it wasn't too scary ;-))

As you can see, the rewards for finishing this hike are incredible. When I saw
the photos I gave myself a hard time for not going the distance. My sons and
daughters in love assured me it was a very strenuous last half mile. hmmmmm

Patrick and Lisa. They were kind enough to give up their afternoon to take us on
the hike!! Patrick and Lisa you guys were absolutely terrific and we can't thank you
