When at sea, for 10 months out of the year, the males
swim to rich feeding grounds near the Aleutian Islands
while the females swim to the northeast Pacific near
Hawaii. Their sea journey will take them between 12,000
to 14,000 miles - the longest migration of any marine mammal.
