In July of 1992 we had made our first trip to Alaska and Portage Glacier was one
of the places we visited. In 2007, fifteen years later on our third trip to Alaska, we
visited it again. What a shock!! In 1992 the glacier filled the valley in the distance,
plus the lake, ending not too far from the rocks in this image where the Visitors Center is.
Who says there is no such thing as "Global Warming"!!
