From the Farm .. to Main Street ... to Your Kitchen within 8 Hours.

Shenandoah, PA

The local growers transport fresh vegetables and fruit from the farms to the Main Street Farmer's Market.
You can usually buy fresh local corn, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, squash, melons, lettuce. fruits and many other items.
Everything is extremely fresh .... much of which was picked within the past 8 hours.

imagine, sometimes it takes me a week to get somethin in my garde, that must be why I go to the grocery store so often.

Wonder if she smelled the canelope before she put it in the basket. I just love these road side vegetable vendors. Stop at one everytime I head to East Texas. There's a peach stand that even makes ice cream with the peaches...talk about DELICIOUS!

Love farmers market.. we only have it in the winter.. way too hot in the summer here.

Farmers Market is the way to go. Not only do you get fresh produce, but it's more often than not organically grown, plus you support your local farmers instead of some giant supermarket chain. Great catch Dave and a nice idea for the challenge.
