Setting Beams

Fountain Springs, PA

Transporting the beams onto the foundation of this house is a delicate procedure.
It's a 9 ft. drop into the basement excavation.
Each beam must be hoisted into place with precision.

Master operator, staying on the edge, great balance!

Grief! I hope he doesn't lean forward in his cab, otherwise he'll be part of the foundations! Great shot for the challenge Dave - it would be good to see how the house progress :o))

Good to see steel beams instead of wood beams. This stuff will last forever. When I started in construction, nylon straps weren't too popular. Now they are the standard. They are a lot safer also. Good to see the waterproofing of the foundation done properly. Spot on focusing and exposure on this shot, Dave. Great record of the construction of your friends' house. Voted.

Very cool shot Dave. This looks somewhat precarious to me.

Here in Florida, that would be a swimming pool.
