November 2004 gave opportunity for a long weekend in Sri Lanka with my son and I once again found myself visiting Yala National Park. This visit was in November, which was still during the northeast monsoon rains. Although the park was wet and green, I lucked out and had 2 mostly dry days in the park. As for seeing bears and leopards, we managed to see one bear and one fleeting glimpse of a leopard. Pictures taken are with a Canon EOS 10D with either the 100-400L IS, 500mm L f/4 IS (with 1.4x & 2X), 50mm f/2.5 macro, 17-35mm L f/2.8 or the Sigma 15mm fisheye lens.
