Ranweli, Sri Lanka

The Ranweli Resort Hotel is an eco-friendly resort located along a river in Waikkal - about a 30 minute drive from the airport. I only spent one very brief night here but did take their morning birdwatching tour by boat. A nice place to stay when you need to be close to the airport.

I was at Ranweli with my family (MY son was only 01 Yr old) and of most of the hotels in Sri Lanka, I would rate it as one of the good ones. The rates we were given were also very competitive and I would say that we got our value for money in return.Good and very hospitable staff. I wont mind going back for a day or two if I can spare the time when back in Sri Lanka.
