Recently went for a family gathering to Osoyoos at the southern
border of BC. Lake Osoyoos is one of the warmest in Canada and
straddles the BC-US border. Osoyoos is located at the tip of the
Sonoma desert, the only desert area in Canada. Temps in the summer
are hot, averaging in the high 30s C and it has mild winters. It's a
beautiful area that formerly was very committed to fruit growing, but
the orchards are being quickly supplanted by a new crop--grapes-and
local vineyards are popping up everywhere.
These pictures are really just snapshots. I didn't have any opportunities
to venture forth, so pretty much all of them were taken at the lakeside
resort we were staying at.
