A View from Below

This is the east side of the downtown core. The copper
building is a federal government building. Built into
the hill below with the blackish windows is a convention
centre--doesn't look like much from this angle but it's
huge and very nice inside and the bulk of it extends below
ground, into the hill and under the streets. We were
standing on a foot/bike bridge that was built over an
old railway trestle extending across the North Saskatchewan
River, which is a pretty large, fast moving river.
