As Time Goes By

Montmartre, Paris, France

'Moonlight and love songs never out of date.
Hearts full of passion, jealousy and hate.
And when two lovers woo
They still say, "I love you."
On that you can rely
No matter what the future brings,
As time goes by...'

~As Time Goes By, Frank Sinatra~

Paris is a remarkable city indeed. And you are right, it has given me a lot of inspiration.
Thank you for your opinion, Dishio.

I am a very happy person, yet this photo appeals to me deeply, and I suspect to others like me "of a certain age". Opportunities, missed; loves, lost; friends, now gone--here they are before my eyes, wraiths, with just a single clear figure among them to anchor me to the present...yet even she presents her back to me as she moves away, "ceaselessly into the past". Reminds me of the final paragraphs of The Great Gatsby. Well done; I'm very touched.. ....Lew
