A much cherished trophy, usually won by one of the larger, more stationary units, the CO's trophy was won by VMA 211 by one of the largest margins since the origin of the trophy in 1958. Athletic events over 13 months included softball, swimming, boxing, football and golf. Other sports not included in the CO Athletic Trophy but 211 members participated in were bowling, basketball, volleyball and tennis.
