1996 was the year of the return to Europe for David Lara.

After a private commission and a collective exhibition at "La Fussina" in Barcelona, Florence was his next stop and the exhibition at "Ruggero's" was his back to the italian scene.
This exhibition at "Ruggero's" was composed by a dozen paintings all framed with mosaics.

For David,1997 was a year of working in iron and mosaics and all his works were shown at "La Fiera dell'Artegianato at Fortezza da Basso" of the same year and remained in Florence after David's departure.

At the moment of his departure from Florence (end of 1997) another exhibition was taking place in the city: the exhibition at "Foccardi's antique library". For specific circumstances none of the paintings were photographed but,this exhibition,is remembered as one of David's best.
