Girdwood lies in a Chugach Mountains valley. It is surrounded by seven permanent glaciers, and hosts the northernmost rain forest in the world.

We stayed at the Alyeska Resort, had dinner on the top of Mount Alyeska, and walked the Winner Creek Trail through the rain forest.
